Sharing my review of the best denim shorts for summer.

Even though the end of August is quickly approaching, it’s still very much summer here in South Florida. I’m making the most out of the rest of the summer with socially-distant activities with friends and family, like entertaining at home, going on walks, going to the beach, etc.
A few weeks ago, my friend Hailey and I ventured out to a nearby boat dock at sunset. We walked around and snapped some photos and it was such a nice safe and socially distant activity!
I wore a classic striped tee, my new favorite shorts, an embroidered anchor baseball cap and my go-to white sneakers.
Let’s talk about the perfect denim shorts. These shorts truly check all the boxes.
Being petite, it can be really tricky finding a pair that fit comfortably and aren’t too high-rise or loose. I finally came across this pair from Madewell.
A few things to love: they’re stretchy, flattering, comfortable, high-waisted and are a versatile wash. This wash called “Rayburn wash” is no longer in stock on the Madewell site but they have it here in a few sizes. The light wash is available here in tons of sizes and a very similar style is available here.
They are easily my favorite pair of denim shorts perfect for summer and beyond.
