Welcome the new season with a freshly organized closet space to help inspire you as you get dressed this season and beyond.
4 Easy Closet Organization Tips
Make sure all of your hangers are the same
This might sound like a very simple thing, but it’s so important and it makes all the difference! Swap out any old metal hangers for plastic, wood or felt hangers to create a uniform look. Bonus tip: Make sure the spacing between each hanger is even!
Color-coordinate your clothes
This is one of my favorite parts of closet organization. I find it so satisfying to see this part come together! Putting together all of the pieces in the same color scheme will help things look a lot neater. What I did in my own closet (in the photo above) was make sure all of the pieces went from light to dark, making things more visually appealing.
Add decorative storage baskets
Right before I tackled closet organization, I knew I needed to update my storage bins, so I picked up these blue and white floral storage bins and matching hamper at Target. The simplest details instantly transform the space! You can fill your bins with extra hangers, hats, scarves, belts, etc. They’re a cute and practical way to make everything look a lot neater (and prettier).
Hang purses/bags on the wall
I found that a simple, neutral-colored wall hook is very practical because it maximizes your space. You can hang scarves, cross-body bags, or anything that’s long because it will still look neat and it will keep clutter out of your actual closet space!
