It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year! Homes are decorated beautifully, everyone’s gathering around, holiday movies are being watched, cookies being baked… I mean, the list goes on.

With all the fun the season has to offer, I’m sure you have lots of events on your calendar. You probably have a Christmas party (or two) coming up. So, to help give you some ideas on what to wear, I’m sharing a dressy and casual Christmas party outfit idea.

Since this time of year only comes around once, I think it’s the perfect excuse to pull out your favorite party dress, no mater how fancy, sparkly, or bold they might be. There’s literally no better time to wear all of those gorgeous outfits! Here are some outfit ideas and styling tips for your next holiday party:

Nothing says Christmas quite like a red or green dress. This Gal Meets Glam dress is just the dress for any of your fancy Christmas parties! The fabric of this dress is so soft and luxurious… enough to make you feel like a princess.

Keep it fancy with heels and a clutch like I did it here, or you can dress it down by wearing satin pom mules instead like this gold pair or this black pair. Pro tip for my petite gals: size down one size in this dress! Whichever way you style it, it would be perfect for the occasion.

CASUAL: TARTAN DRESS AND SNEAKERS

This plaid dress is perfect for Christmas day! Seriously… there’s no better dress in my opinion. The tartan plaid is so classic, and the velvet collar adds a nice touch. I styled it casually here with sneakers but it would look so lovely with black or gold heels. This velvet headband also ties the look together! I will likely be wearing this dress to my office Christmas lunch this Thursday and re-wearing it for a Christmas party at one of my best girlfriend’s house this Friday! It’s just that good.
