Last month, I wore this dress for Easter Sunday. It’s a statement dress all on its own so I’ll be sharing some tips on how to wear this gingham dress for spring and summer.
Gingham is one of those prints that you can never go wrong with. It is definitely a more preppy style print, which I love. But if full-on gingham is not your thing, there are ways to incorporate it into your outfit more subtly by adding a scarf or with a pair of heels.
This gingham dress definitely makes a statement. It actually reminds me of this dress but for a lot less. What makes this gingham dress ideal for spring and summer is the coral gingham color and the breathable cotton fabric.
I wore this gingham dress for a day in Palm Beach with Katie and Hailey, and it was the perfect dress for the occasion! You can also wear it to a picnic or a sunset beach stroll.
How to Style a Gingham Dress
Since it is a bold dress on its own, you need very few accessories to tie the whole look together. Since I’ve seen these becoming increasingly popular, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and use my scarf as a headband.
I styled my dress with lace up espadrilles and a wicker bag. If you want a more casual look, it would look just as lovely with white sneakers like these! I have my eye on that pair because they are so versatile and I’ve heard they are extremely comfortable.
At first, I wasn’t sure how to style this dress to really make it unique! But then I remembered this look from my favorite dress brand and it totally inspired the outfit that I put together.
Styling a statement dress can be tricky. But letting the dress take the stage by adding a few tasteful accessories will really help it stand out!
