Sunday Polo in Palm Beach

A few weeks ago I attended a polo match with my friend Hailey and it was so much fun!

When my friend Hailey invited me to go to a polo match, I didn’t think twice! This was my first polo match ever and I loved it. There was so much to see, I definitely want to go back again later this spring to spend more time there.

There were beautiful horses and flowers and so many people were dressed up. It’s so much fun getting to see ladies wearing elegant hats and dresses, and gents wearing crisp shirts and slacks. In a day and age where people don’t dress up as often, I really appreciate a dressy occasion!

When I was thinking about I should wear for the polo match, I instantly thought of wearing a hat with my outfit. I don’t usually wear hats but I knew this was THE occasion to wear it to! I’m taking this as a note to myself, that I should really add some more hats to my wardrobe. With the upcoming spring and summer, it’s the perfect time (read: perfect excuse haha) to stock up on some darling hats!

If you have the opportunity to go to a polo match, definitely give it a go! At the International Polo Club in Wellington, the tickets for general admission are only $10 and if anything else, you get to spend the day outdoors enjoying the sunshine! If you decide to go to the polo match, it’ll be there every Sunday from now through April. Bring your friends and family and make a day out of it!

Hailey and I spent most of the time walking around more than sitting and watching the match. Because, honestly as a first-timer I didn’t know very much about polo itself. We went for the ambiance and for the picturesque property.

It was a Sunday well spent and I can’t wait to return!
