Stripe Boat Neck Tee | White jeans | Camel Blazer | Leopard Flats
Around two years ago, I reached a turning point in my style. I couldn’t keep up with the trends anymore. I had a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear. I’d buy a new blouse or dress for almost every event that I had on my calendar. I’d spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on clothes every year. Yet, I STILL felt underwhelmed with my wardrobe.
Sound familiar?
At that point, I had enough and I started to get really clear on what styles I was continuously drawn to. What pieces felt “me” when I wore them. What styles made me feel the best and most confident version of myself. I started eliminating everything that didn’t align with that new vision of myself and my new wardrobe, and slowly started adding more of what felt totally in line with that vision.
Now, I have a very clear idea of my personal style and I shop intentionally. My style is polished, classic and feminine and it feels just right to me! Having a clear idea of my style has saved me money in the long run because I only spend money on what I absolutely LOVE.

I believe we should all feel that way. We should focus on what lights us up and get rid of everything else that doesn’t. Because life’s too short to settle for mediocre. Both in style, and in everything else!
Defining your personal style doesn’t have to be some mysterious or difficult thing! Here are 4 simple ways to do just that.
How to Define Your Personal Style
GET CLEAR
Get clear on what styles you are continuously drawn to. What fabrics, prints, colors and silhouettes do you reach for or like to shop for time and time again? Whether it be at the store, online or in your closet. You’re drawn to these for a reason. It’s because they make you feel the most comfortable, confident and happy. For me, it’s neutrals, blush tones, and stripes. You’ll see me wearing quite a bit of those styles a lot over here.
CLEAR OUT
Clear out what’s not aligned with you ideal signature style. What clothing items are you holding onto that you haven’t worn in years? They’re simply taking up space in your closet and drawers. Doing this will simplify your closet and your life big time. It will make all the difference and you won’t pick up items that you don’t like wearing. Stay tuned for free closet organization guide that I’ll be releasing soon! It’ll definitely help walk you through this.
DRAW INSPIRATION
One of my favorite ways to get a better idea of my personal style is to draw inspiration from other sources. You can flip through fashion magazines, flag or rip out the pages that stand out to you. I also love browsing Pinterest and pinning photos that really inspire me, visit my Pinterest here. You can also follow your favorite fashion bloggers on Instagram and see how they style outfits. Doing all or even one of these is really going to help you get inspired to define your own signature style.
MAXIMIZE WHAT YOU HAVE
A while ago I used to wish I had outfits like those on Pinterest and get discouraged when I compared the beautifully styled outfits, to the pieces in my closet. If that ever happens, the best thing to do is to make the most of your current wardrobe… maximize what you have. By focusing your attention to what you have (abundance mindset) you take your attention away from what you don’t have (scarcity mindset). I put together a guide to help walk you through this and help you make the most out of your wardrobe without spending a dime!

Your style is so much more important than it might seem. It has nothing to do with vanity and everything to do with the amazing person that you are.
When you define your personal style and own it… your world changes. You show up more, reveal that spark within you and light up the room. You exude confidence and grace so effortlessly because you know exactly what you like and what you bring to the world around you.
