Today, I’m sharing my recent visit to the pumpkin patch and the plaid flannel dress that I wore.
I can’t believe October is nearly ending! I couldn’t let the month pass without taking a trip to the pumpkin patch. So, this past weekend, Julian and I went to brunch and spent a day at the pumpkin patch with some friends!
We visited Long Neck Pumpkin Farm in Colorado Springs. Julian and I went last year, but this year it was completely different! They had so many fun activities and cute photo opportunities, we were all entertained for over an hour. We played tetherball, took lots of photos, shot some tennis balls on a slingshot and searched for the perfect pumpkin!
I decided to wear a plaid flannel dress and hunter boots, which turned out to be the perfect outfit for exploring. You may have seen me share this dress on my Instagram Stories when I first saw it at the store. While plaid flannel shirts are more common, a plaid dress is a great alternative. It’s the perfect seasonal piece that you can incorporate into your Fall wardrobe to make a festive statement. Plus, it is so easy to throw on when you’re on the go!
For this little adventure, I paired my plaid flannel dress with Hunter boots. They really are the best boots for exploring since they’re made of rubber and they don’t require much maintenance. Even if you’re not heading to the pumpkin patch, this outfit is perfect for a day spent exploring the city, going to brunch, heading the movie theater… you name it! Just swap out the Hunter boots for some cute red flats or black loafers to make the whole look more city-appropriate.

Love this post, Emily! My favorite part of going to the pumpkin patch is usually the apple cider donuts they have! (And of course, the cute fall photo opportunities!)
This dress is TOO cute – can’t wait to get a flannel dress of my own!
