WHAT TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND TRIP IN THE FALL
A VERSATILE DRESS
The first item that came to my mind for what you can bring along with you, is a versatile dress. You can choose a dress in a seasonal print or shade that complements the Fall season and weather. You can also go with a classic, solid color dress in a neutral color (think LDB). This dress works year round and chances are, you already have it in your closet! Either of these choices will be so versatile and you can make it casual with suede flats or blush sneakers for your daytime explorations. If you’ll be out all day, you can bring along a jacket and have a pair of booties in the car. This way, you can easily dress up your look for nighttime.
COZY LOUNGEWEAR
This is an often overlooked, but essential thing to remember to bring along during your weekend trip. You’ll notice that during your trip, there are some moments that call for something more dressed up than PJs but not fully dressed to leave the hotel room. When you are relaxing, getting ready, walking around the hotel at night or in the morning, you want a set that you can feel comfy in but that’s not your PJs. Something that feels as comfortable as PJs, but that is a tad more put together, like a cozy pullover and joggers!
PRACTICAL OUTERWEAR
Outwear is something that is necessary for a weekend trip in the Fall. Temperatures start to dip in the early morning or as the sun fades away in the evening. Not only is outerwear needed to keep you warm, but it also adds dimension and variety to your look. Think a practical quilted vest for any time of day, a classic coat for an evening out and a polished twill jacket is perfect for exploring.
