The Perfect Ruffled Shirt and How to Style it

A ruffled shirt is one of the easiest ways to add a feminine touch to any outfit. Subtle ruffles can really transform a whole outfit from a simple look to a statement ensemble. I don’t have too many ruffled pieces in my closet, but the one’s I do have are understated. I instantly fell in love with this shirt when I saw it at Target last Spring, and I just couldn’t resist! This is the perfect ruffled shirt because it is functional, versatile and did I mention, it has stripes? I constantly reach for striped pieces and I’ll be the first to admit that I wear stripes a little too often. (Not really, though because there’s no such thing as too many stripes… ha!). There’s nothing like a classic piece that’s fun yet timeless.

• Pair it with denim: I chose high-waisted vintage style jeans but this top can complement any denim bottom like a white denim skirt, denim shorts or dark denim. 
• Keep it simple: The perfect ruffled shirt calls for simple accessories so that the top can make a statement of its own! Pair with neutral accessories or add a fun pop of color. 
• Wear to work: You can make a subtle statement at work and style this top with a pair of khaki slacks or a navy blue pencil skirt. Add some heels for a full, professional look.
